Raspberry Almond Shortbread Cookies

2/3 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour
Raspberry jam
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream sugar, butter and extract for two minutes. Add flour and beat two minutes. Roll into one inch balls, press a thumbprint to hold jelly. Put 1/4 tsp. jelly in depression. Bake 14-18 minutes until edges lightly browned.
Let cool. Glaze with 1 cup powdered sugar, 1-1/2 tsp almond extract, and 3 tsps water.
